Giving Thanks – Even When You Think You Have Nothing To Be Thankful For

Everyday is the perfect day to give thanks for all that you have in your life. I know some of you, may be thinking "what do I have to be thankful for?"

Many of you may have lost a job, or lost your home. Maybe you're experiencing a challenge with your health, or a relationship. Regardless of your personal situation, I have yet to meet anyone who does not have something to be grateful for.

Especially if you feel you have nothing to be grateful for, you more than anyone need to give thanks. Why? Because the Universe is not going to give you more than you already have unless you give thanks and show appreciation for what you do have.

If you are someone who feels you have nothing to be grateful for, let me offer some guidance. Did you wake up this morning? Then give thanks for the gift of another day, another opportunity to make a new start and walk down a new path.

Are you reading these words right now? Then give thanks for the gift of sight, and the ability to read and understand. With this gift you can acquire all the knowledge you need to change your situation for the better.

Are you aware of any sounds around you? Then give thanks for the gift to hear; to hear the laughter of children, to hear the sound of birds in the trees, and to hear your favorite song on the radio.

No matter how small or insignificant you may think it is, give thanks for it. When you do, the feeling and energy inside of yourself will begin to change.

The more you give thanks and show appreciation for what you have in your life, the more you will find others appreciate you. The more others appreciate you, the better you feel about yourself, and the more you open up to the possibilities all around you.

The more open you are to the possibilities all around, the more possibilities will be open to you. Before you know it you will be walking through life with a renewed energy. An energy filled with purpose, passion and hope.

So what are you are you thankful for?
